Using Wordles

Trying to understand the importance of key terminology is a complex process which is hard to master. Using Wordle for revision – taking keywords, terminology, trigger words has enabled students to develop a process of making notes, organising notes in a defined and thought provoking manner.

Wordle ‘Word Clouds’ enables students to better grasp the importance of keywords. This helps them see the relevance of structuring answers and choosing appropriate terminology related to the question or topic. The use of Wordle allows students to see branches of thoughts through word triggers not previously seen before. This is a basic process, but something that can be used in classroom revision sessions or directed study tasks away from the classroom.
